We would like to send a big congratulations to B.O.B. for having his first album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, debut #1 on the Billboard 200 Charts. B.O.B. is an extremly talented artist who’s not afraid to be himself. As a result, his music has been received with open arms by many across the world.
Below are two visual project we did with B.O.B. last year.
I’m pleased to announce the launch of my South by South West Hip-Hop online photo exhibition featuring Roc Nation artist J. Cole. For this project I had the opportunity to document the rising MC’s dynamic experience at the 2010 SXSW music festival.
Other artists included in the project are Nas, Bun B, Chamillionaire, Killer Mike, YelaWolf, DJ Quik, Talib Kewli, Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, Krayzie Bone and others.
In addition to the online exhibition, optimized iPad and iPhone digital spreads have been prepared for those on the go or away from their computers.
Our SXSW Hip-Hop 2010 Online Photo Exhibition will launch next week on 04.27.10 at SXSWHIPHOP.COM. The photo project features J. Cole and a number of other Hip-Hop artists who took part in the 2010 SXSW Music Festival.
Here’s a preview of our 2010 SXSW Hip-Hop Photo Spread project. The above image features Hip-Hop royalty Nas who performed twice during SXSW. In addition to viewing the project online, optimized iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch versions will also be available. Last years SXSW photo project featuring Asher Roth, B.O.B., Janelle Monae and many others can be viewed at http://sxswhiphop.com.
I recently had the opportunity to photo document B.O.B. (aka Bobby Ray) while on his Austin tour stop with Asher Roth, Kid Cud. Normally for a project like this, I would include more behind the scene images, however B.O.B.’s set was so energetic I had to share extra performance images.
I have witnessed a number of B.O.B.’s shows and while each one has been impressive, they keep getting better. One word I would use to accurately describe a performance is passionate.
