A long week on the road lead up to Chamillionaire’s Fly Rydes shop in Houston this past Sunday. The occasion, a basketball game featuring Chamillionaire’s Chamillitary/Fly Rydes team versus the The Box (97.9) team. Captains for the teams were Chamillionaire and J-Mac. Chamillionaire invited all of Houston, as well as everyone else, to his shop on the north side of Houston for free food, autograph signing, pictures, and the heavily promoted basketball game. The event was packed full of people as were the roads to the shop. The bets were official, if the Chamillitary team lost, Chamillionaire would pimp a fans ride. If they won, J-Mac would wash cars for half a day. In the end, the Chamillitary team ended up with the victory.
Here is some exclusive LM footage from Tony Parker’s NBA Live 09 Celebration last weekend. Some of the guest in attendance included the San Antonio Spurs, Chamillionaire, Famous, Bun B, Play N Skillz, Trae, Question, and many others…
Chamillionaire and the Chamillitary Camp rolled through Austin, last Friday, for an in-store appearance and signing. Before the actual in-store event, Cham did an interview with Hot 93.3 personality, Boogie. (You can listen here) After the interview, it was off to Music Mania where many supporters showed up to get an autograph. Cham and Famous stayed around for a couple of hours, signing posters and taking photos with fans.
Cham is currently on his Mixtape Messiah IV promo tour. Austin / Music Mania was just one of the many stops. Later that night, we headed downtown to catch the Z-Ro concert and enjoyed the entire show from the DJ booth next to the stage. Cham joined Z-Ro on stage at the end of his set and then we made our way out.
Those interested, can listen to Cham’s voicemail regarding his Austin trip here…
Chamillionaire’s Mixtape Messiah V will be out in November. The cover art, designed by Mike Frost / SLFEMP will also feature some of my photo work.
My latest published magazine photograph can be found in the February issue of The Source Magazine. This particular issue has two different covers. One version featuring Rick Ross and the other featuring the late Pimp C. The subject of the photograph is Chamillitary recording artist, Famous aka. Lil Ken.
Another image of Famous I shot, that was published in an issue of Ozone Magazine a few months back.
