If you didn’t know, the incredible Janelle Monae released her new album “ArchAndroid” earlier this week. An amazing talent, her artistry is certainty unique. Some have described her as a female version of B.O.B..
I’ve had the opportunity to photograph several of her live shows. Her creative passion carries over to her performance which results in an experience you are guaranteed to not forget. Janelle Monae’s “ArchAndroid” can be purchased on iTunes here.
Below are a couple of Live Portraits of some of those performances.
We would like to send a big congratulations to B.O.B. for having his first album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, debut #1 on the Billboard 200 Charts. B.O.B. is an extremly talented artist who’s not afraid to be himself. As a result, his music has been received with open arms by many across the world.
Below are two visual project we did with B.O.B. last year.
I’m pleased to announce the launch of my South by South West Hip-Hop online photo exhibition featuring Roc Nation artist J. Cole. For this project I had the opportunity to document the rising MC’s dynamic experience at the 2010 SXSW music festival.
Other artists included in the project are Nas, Bun B, Chamillionaire, Killer Mike, YelaWolf, DJ Quik, Talib Kewli, Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, Krayzie Bone and others.
In addition to the online exhibition, optimized iPad and iPhone digital spreads have been prepared for those on the go or away from their computers.
Our latest music video project for Austin MC’s SouthBound premiered last week. The video “That Ain’t Right” articulates a story of a young artist who draws his inspiration from movies and television as opposed to personal experience.
